Empty Bowls
Join us on May 3rd, 2025!
11 am to 3 pm (rain or shine)
Improving food security, one bowl at a time.
Our Empty Bowls is a fundraising event that is held every Spring in collaboration with local potters. Beautiful hand-crafted pottery bowls are sold, in addition to some delicious soup to either enjoy on site or take home frozen. This is important to CDP since it benefits our programs that serve West Island Community members experiencing food insecurity. This event also helps to increase awareness about the number of people who are struggling with food insecurity in our community.
If you are a potter and would like to donate some of your bowls, please fill in the survey by clicking on the button below. Although the deadline for donating bowls for our 2025 event is April 25th, it is never too early nor too late to donate - we accept donations year round.
We need your help!
Our EMPTY BOWLS event's success is dependent on the help that we receive from our wonderful volunteers. Please consider helping out at the event and be a part of something special. Different volunteering opportunities are available and you will receive a free bowl of soup! Click on the button below to fill out our Empty Bowls Volunteer Sign-Up Form. Thank you!
